 Tech Transfer

•  Cheri here working with getting NOAA machine running.  Roman has identified many issues:
  •  deepened o-ring groove on heaters
  • tightened carousel bearing reatiner
  • loc-tite outside of bearing
• room temp calibrations now finsihed; enviro chamber next for hi/lo temps
• ESP Chris has same flaws.  Cheri will be responsible for redoing these.

Drifter

•  Sea test is August 11 on Shana Rae.
• Will be using ESP-Bruce.  Today hand and carousel calibrated.  Check waste tomorrow.  Array prints look good.
• Must check with Kevin on whether GUI will work on Kilo Moana in order to view data.

HAB/Cybr Assay

•  Elif is getting cross-reactivity with non-targets on the ABI.  Also having some problems with MFB5.
• Now concentrating on TAQ assay.  moved primers a little but still cross-reactivity.  Will continue tweaking Taq assay.  Remember ultimate goal(s):
  • Want to do PCR for P. australis in ordre to
  • compare SHA and PCR results.

Pier Deployment

• NEO is going on Pier.  Mid/late October.  Chris working on upgrading everything and getting regular MFB (not tombstone) working.
